my name is Fred.
I write, perform, and create visual experiences that stick to audiences like the meat to bones. Sometimes I'm an emotional slut, boldly abstract and dramatic, summoning primordial-esque contemporary worlds, decadent feelings, and lusty prose, but, never above a fart joke.
As a Disabled, Queer, BIPOC, my work involves, engages, and perplexes. I'm inspired by Marlon Riggs, Essex Hemphill, and the values of the Black Arts Movement. The nature, condition, and compassion of the Human Animal is what I unveil through my writings, performances, and visual art.
My favorite themes and subjects surround connections-our relation to ancestors, nature, astrology, and the mysticism deep within ourselves.
